How do you know if your nipples are infected?

Symptoms

1. Breast tenderness or warmth to the touch.
2. Breast swelling.
3. Thickening of breast tissue, or a breast lump.
4. Pain or a burning sensation continuously or while breast-feeding.
5. Skin redness, often in a wedge-shaped pattern.
6. Generally feeling ill.
7. Fever of 101 F (38.3 C) or greater.
